This bowl/basket was hand-turned from red cedar harvested from the artist's property in the Missouri Ozarks. It was then coiled with South Carolina longleaf pine needles, dyed by the artist in hues of red and blue. Large wooden beads were added between the rows of pine needles and black artificial sinew was used to tie everything together. It's 3.75" tall, 9.5" in diameter and 30" in diameter. You can be proud to display this in your home or to give it as a gift.

Nanita’s Pyro Art
Beautifully designed gourds and baskets of all sizes and descriptions. Specializing in southwestern and western themes. We have a new addition! Hand-turned wooden bowls and platters.
I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets. As of January 2024, my husband, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood platters and bowls. I add pine needle coiling to most of his work and it makes a stunning combination! Have a look at my gallery and contact me with any questions or special requests.
